BU DRIVE research project develops an LPG-powered ship engine.
Most ships are powered by diesel engines. This is also true for the roughly 11,000 inland waterway vessels in Europe. Environmental aspects have become increasingly important for operators of these vessels – since they are also subject to the stricter emissions regulations, not to mention the rising fuel prices that drive the demand for cleaner and more economic engines.
BU Drive becomes a member of the apra - automotive parts remanufacturers association
